Comparison of Speed Progesterone^TM to reference method
Speed Progesterone^TM is a rapid, quantitative immunochromatographic assay that can measure circulating progesterone through laser-induced fluorescence analysis. The Speed Progesterone^TM test was validated for the measurement of circulating progesterone in dogs compared to the indirect chemiluminescence immunoassay method (CLEIA, IMMULITE® 2000, Siemens), performed in the laboratory. Progesterone was measured in 165 canine blood samples collected under clinical conditions. The correlation coefficient R² is 0.93, indicating an excellent correlation between the two analysis systems. Speed Progesterone^TM has an excellent correlation with the indirect chemiluminescence immunoassay method (IMMULITE® 2000, Siemens), validated in dogs for the progesterone assay.
